As you may have discovered by now, Fauxwurx Associates has but one artist,
James Clifton Jr.
James is the sole talent that creates everything you've seen, from hand-painted murals in oil and acrylics, to embossed Venetian plasters to life-like portraits, James does it all.
James started his career in transforming spaces with creative thinking nearly 25 years ago at the age of 17 in the form of an interior design service for residences.
James worked independently for many clients including architects, building contractors and home-owners that were looking for creative ideas for their projects.
James continued his education at VCU's School of The Arts where he earned accolades from his instructors and peers in portraiture and commercial art and displayed some of his creations at the VCU gallery.
James has continued expanding his portfolio in the creative arts at the Faux Finish Institute in Omaha, Nebraska and Seattle, Washington where he gained his extensive knowledge of specialty finishes for walls, floors and furniture.
James founded Fauxwurx Associates L.L.C. in 2005 which has quickly become the premier source for murals and extraordinary interiors for clients in Central Virginia and North Carolina.
James continues to expand his portfolio by attending classes by world-renowned artists in places such as Las Vegas and Europe, and has an un-quenchable thirst to deliver professional quality murals, expert life-like portraits and incredible faux finishes that must be seen to be believed.
For 2008, James is thrilled to be creating a new collection of artwork for homes and business spaces for sale on his website that will be in addition to all of the services currently offered by Fauxwurx Associates.
James has been trusted to create fantastic interiors for private home-owners and custom model homes, as well as commercial spaces, and is currently one of only a handful of artists whose travels are not limited to one area.
